My Rating: 4 Stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I’ve never read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. However, I did enjoy this modern-day retelling! I will be reading the original Pride and Prejudice sometime this year!
I loved all the main characters, but I REALLY loved Elizabeth’s character! She reminds me so much of myself. She’s fierce and stands up for what she believes in, even if it does get her in trouble at times…or kicked out of a fundraiser! She’s also pretty hilarious!
I couldn’t stand Mr. Darcy at times, but he eventually grew on me. Just like Elizabeth, I wanted to reach into the book and slap him a time or two, but I learned that he really does have a good heart. Some people just don’t know how to show it as easily as others.
The end of the book made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Mr. Darcy’s Kiss was such a fun & romantic story to read! I would definitely recommend this to my book friends!
