Ariana is a new author, so I am very excited to have her on my blog today! Ariana’s debut novel, Turn to Stone, released a few days ago and I wanted to share that with my readers. Take a look at that cover! It’s so hot!
Ariana was also kind enough to do a mini-interview for this post!
Who are some of your favorite authors and books?
My first love was E.L. James in this genre. Fifty will always hold a very special place in my heart. I have a great fondness and respect for Kristy Bromberg. Learning her story and seeing what she is accomplishing right now with bringing Driven to life gives me chills. That is my hope for my novel/series with Julian and Alexandra. These two are my goal sets. Writing has captured so much of my time but I’m trying to strike a better balance to make me a better and more well rounded author. Meghan March’s Richer than Sin and Sierra Simone’s Priest are next on my to be read list.
What’s your favorite genre to read?
Contemporary romance is lead always. I am a history and weather nerd. Give me a good non-fiction about the history of a city or a weather event and I pounce. I also will drink in a wonderful biography or autobiography. I love to know people’s stories.
What gives you inspiration for your books?
My inspiration comes in many forms. It begins with people I’ve come into contact with. There are parts of many that have comprised the characters in my novel.
Most of my story ideas are based in music. I will hear a lyric or feel something with that lyric and I won’t be able to stop.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
How long do you have? LOL I can’t stand being late. People that are fake are like nails on a chalkboard to me. And please, for the love of all holy, PUT DOWN THE TOILET SEAT!!
Who is your favorite character in your books?
The character I feel the most is Julian. He is like an onion, you need to peel him back a layer at a time. This first go around was to get a taste. Book two will delve more into his past and you will learn how he got to this point and how it will affect him going forward.
The characters I enjoyed writing the most were my antagonists, Hunter and Quinn. There is just something about writing evil that is thrilling to me.
Do you have anything you would like to say to your readers and fans?
First and foremost, thank you! Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for your loving reviews. Second, I hope you love these characters and this story as much as I do. I also hope you are excited about book two, No Stone Unturned which will release next year.
Thank you, Ariana, for participating in the guest post section of my blog!
