I ran across this book tag on Thrifty Bibliophile’s website and it looked like a fun post, so I just had to do this tag too! You can click here to read her post!

How long have you been a blogger?

This is my 6th month blogging!

At what point do you think you will stop?

Hopefully, never! I love blogging and hope to do it as long as I can.

What’s the best thing?

The best thing for me is being able to share my love of books! I have also enjoyed chatting with authors and other book bloggers. I have made so many new friends on this blogging journey!

What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?

The worst part about blogging is stressing over page views, followers & etc. I’ve learned to just go with the flow. I don’t get upset anymore if I’m down any followers or if my numbers aren’t great. I just keep working toward my goals and appreciate every little victory!

How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?

I would estimate that I spend anywhere from 1-3 hours perfecting an image to use for my post. Sometimes I get lucky & find what I want right away!

Who is your book crush?

There’s so many, but if I have to choose only one, I’d choose Elder from The Dollar Series by Pepper Winters! He’s to die for!

What author would you like to have on your blog?

Once again, there are so many I would like to have on my blog, but I would ABSOLUTELY love to have Blake Pierce! I am a HUGE fan of his mystery series and I have so many questions I’d love to ask him!

BTW…if you’ve never read his series before, go check him out on his website by clicking HERE.

What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

99% of the time I am in my bed with my PJs on! I’m all about being comfy when I write!

How long does it take you to prepare?

Writing a book review can take hours. Here is my process…

I highlight and make notes in the e-book as I read it, so that does help me spend less time going back and trying to find the quotes & etc I want to use. It takes me a few hours per post. I don’t write the post all at one time though.

I usually spread it out over a couple days so I don’t get overwhelmed. I’ll put the basics in the post (genre, publication date, length of book…etc) including the synopsis and a pic of the book.

The next thing I do is write the actual review.

After that, I look up all the social media links and the author’s website to post at the bottom of my book review.

The last thing I do is proofread. I am far from perfect when it comes to grammar, but I try my best to make my post look as good as possible.

Blogging is a lot of work and is time consuming, but I enjoy every minute of it!

How do you feel about the book blogging community/culture?

The book blogging community is beyond amazing! Everyone that I have met so far has been so supportive and welcoming. I’ve met a lot of new people and have made new friends since I started blogging!

What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?

I think one of the most important things a blogger can do to have a successful blog is to interact with their readers and followers. Let them know you appreciate them taking their time to read your posts!
